Executive Assistant
Job Description:
Recruiting an EXPERIENCED Executive Assistant to perform various administrative functions for the Executive Director of a nonprofit organization. The right person must be dependable, flexible, self-motivated, articulate, confidential, responsible, and exercise good judgment in the course of his/her work. He or she must have proficient knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of software, possess excellent grammar usage and writing skills, and be able to accurately prepare the minutes of meetings. Applicants with previous experience and/or credentials in HR/FMLA will be given preference.

United Services Community Action Agency (USCAA) is a private, nonprofit providing both emergency and long-term solutions to the poverty conditions affecting citizens in Clay, Jackson, and Platte counties in Missouri.
Born from the 1964 War on Poverty, the Community Action Network continues to follow its mandate to confront poverty on 3 levels—individuals, families, and communities. There are approximately 1,000 Community Action Agencies across the United States with 96% of all counties in America served by a local CAA. Because each CAA is in the community it serves, poverty issues specific to that community are targeted with strategies distinctly fitted to its needs.

Education:
Any certifications or degree in a HR-related field is preferred, but not required. Other advanced qualifications will be considered as well (for example, special certifications in writing, etc.)
Job Requirements:
EXCELLENT writing skills; ability to put together attractively formatted printed materials for the board and funders; ability to handle a variety of projects simultaneously; COMPETENT with all of the Microsoft Office suite programs (Word; Access; Excel; Outlook; PowerPoint; Publisher)
