Work Experience
The Work Experience Program (WEP) assists clients in securing stable full-time permanent employment by encouraging employers to expand their staffing options by hiring a person who has the potential of becoming an exemplary employee, but has only marginal skills. Our wage subsidy encourages employers to hire low-income workers, who may not have good work histories, and give them a `second chance’ in the job market. Work Experience positions are limited to new or unfilled positions and cannot displace current employees from jobs.
